Job Description – UI/UX Designer

The UI/UX Designer will work closely with engineers, developers, and product managers throughout all stages of the product life cycle to understand user behaviors and needs, as well as design, develop and test user interfaces for AgileAssets software suite. Responsibilities include working with product management to prioritize and manage UI/UX backlog of requirements, build and update prototypes/mockups, and quickly test and validate prototypes.

  • Demonstrate design artifacts at every stage of the design process (user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototype) that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Use prototype interfaces for testing, analysis and review to gain feedback, alternative solution ideas, revision assignments or validation.
  • Facilitate the product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products.
  • Work in the existing software to identify/modify/enhance specific processes and individual screens to improve the UI/UX throughout the software suite.
  • Validate designs through usability surveys and direct interaction with customers/users, product managers, testing and business development.
  • Be a resource for all departments on user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Remain current on UI design trends and possess an awareness of competitive developments and methods.
  • Update content audits, user scenarios and task flow diagrams on a regular basis.
  • Engage in cross-departmental communication and facilitate team design thinking approaches in development agile working sessions.

  • BS/BA in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design or relevant experience
  • 5+ years previous experience as a UI/UX designer
  • 1+ years’ experience with mobile UI/UX on multiple platforms
  • Experience with UI/UX for products, preferably Enterprise Applications, not only commercial web pages
  • Proficient in JavaScript and image editors (HTML, CSS), Adobe Creative Suite, CSS preprocessors and design framework, such as Bootstrap and Foundation
  • A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.
  • Experience leading user behavior analytics and testing
  • Experience with agile development method

  • Strong analytic abilities to evaluate complex technical, business and user requirements and create applicable solutions
