Senior Web Developer

Responsibilities:

  • Develops full stack web and mobile solutions that drive revenue and serve customer needs
  • Creates technical specifications which satisfy all business requirements
  • Fully document all work and comply with development best practices
  • Able to participate in and conduct code reviews of both team and vendor-supplied code and determine quality, identify bugs and evaluate risks
  • Ensure architecture is consistent with organizational development standards and align with industry guidelines and best practices. Able to integrate website with enterprise systems including identity management, Salesforce, etc.
  • Help internal customers understand capabilities and translate requirements into solutions that are practical to implement, robust and scalable
  • Provides high-quality code by performing appropriate testing and ensuring that the functional specification is fully implementedRequirements:

  • A minimum of five years of full stack .NET/C# development experience at medium to large company, at least 3 years at a mid/project lead level
  • Object-oriented
  • CMS experience, both in data management / configuration and development (Sitecore preferred, MODX a plus)
  • Web development experience including ASP.NET MVC, web services
  • Strong HTML and CSS skills. This includes experience with hand-coding. Some exposure to scripting and more advanced coding. JQuery is a plus
  • Build/release engineering and/or automation skills
  • Jira/Bitbucket
  • AWS hosting experience
  • Knowledge of security best practices
  • UI/UX development
  • Effectively develops in a documented, well structured, easily maintainable format
  • Ability to deliver great results in an agile development framework
  • Willingness to share knowledge and cross-train team members in your areas of specialty
  • Excellent verbal and written communications, including ability to explain technical topics to business audiences and effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation
  • Ability to work as an integral part of a team in a global, distributed environment
  • Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, with occasional travel as necessaryNice to have:

  • Front-end frameworks (e.g. Knockout.js, Angular.js)
  • Database development and administration (Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL preferred)
  • PHP development
  • Understanding of Load Balancer management/configuration
  • Marketing and/or analytics expertise
  • CDN management (AWS)
  • QA/Monitoring script development, willingness to learn
  • Salesforce development/integration experience
  • Web Performance Engineering
  • Performance and Availability monitoring (e.g. AppDynamics, New Relic, etc.)
