At Recurly, the Senior Business Analyst provides strategic business analysis services to its core
business units and executive team. The focus of this position is to gain in-depth understanding of
customer’s business strategy, processes, services, roadmap and the context in which the
business operates. This role is key in better understanding current business challenges and
identifying new opportunities. We are looking for a highly intelligent, motivated, and passionate
individual with the special skills of delivering key insights and communicating effectively.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks 

  • Measure: Build robust tools and dashboards that monitor key business metrics, customer health benchmarks, and track organizational performance on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Decision support: Provide recommendations supported by thorough research and analysis to increase performance across key business areas
  • Financial modeling and forecasting: Contribute to further development of financial forecasting and analytical tools
  • Dashboard and Data Management: Support existing internal dashboard maintenance and Business Analytics operations by cleaning and validating data sources.

Qualifications

  • Must have at minimum 5 years progressive experience in the field of analytics with a BS/ BA degree in information systems, computer science, statistics, economics, math or other related quantitative field.
  • Data analysis – Must be proficient and have attained advanced skills with SQL, Microsoft Excel and building Tableau dashboards (Tableau Certifications a plus).
  • Must have experience working on large scale projects as well as handling ad-hoc operational requests from the business units.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple, strong relationship building skills and communication skills.
  • Recent experience and understanding modeling with R would be ideal (Python experience a plus).
  • Ability to translate findings clearly and effectively to non-analytical stakeholders within the organization.
