About the Role

ThousandEyes is looking for a passionate product manager to play a key role in evolving and expanding our platform. As one of the early product managers, you embrace the opportunity to understand what it takes to build a world-class product that delivers a delightful customer experience.  You will work to define the product and features and socialize them across the organization, ensuring that they are tuned to our customer's needs and market shifts in order to help drive growth.


  • Lead the development and launch of innovative products
  • Understand and anticipate customer needs to drive product definition and positioning
  • Engage directly and regularly with customers to gain in-depth understanding of their business processes and product needs
  • Perform competitive analysis and market research to guide product planning
  • Contribute to a long term product vision, help build the roadmap
  • Facilitate product decisions cross functionally
  • Validate requirements and resulting product with customers to ensure success
  • Interact with Engineering to keep track of roadmap execution
  • Work closely with Product Marketing, Sales and Customer Success to support creation of customer driven messaging, sales enablement tools and thought leadership materials to execute the go-to market strategy
  • Continually engage with customers with the goal of developing product champions

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of product management experience, with demonstrated success in product definition activities for network, virtualization, or security products
  • BEng or BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
  • Belief in user validation and lean product development instead of PRDs, acknowledging that features change faster than a static document
  • Experienced with web technologies, cloud, and mobile
  • Familiarity with the environments and needs of medium and large enterprise customers
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Self-starter with high levels of initiative, commitment and energy who can galvanize the team to follow

Preferred Skills

  • Background in Networking and Internet Protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, BGP)
  • Recent hands-on experience running or developing a Cloud or SaaS-based offering, ideally targeted at enterprises
  • Startup experience, including working closely with founders and founding team
