The WalmartLabs Developer Experience Tools team is responsible for building a set of multi-tenant quality automation tools and services that support the development and delivery of Walmart applications for ecommerce and physical stores. 
This solution drastically improves engineering efficiency and lets them implement, test, and deploy applications quickly and with quality. The suite includes tools for test automation, mocking, and performance testing and monitoring, and provides actionable insights for addressing quality issues.

This position is based in the WalmartLabs office in Carlsbad, CA.
The technical product manager will be responsible for a portfolio of software tools and services and work with the engineering team to own solutions from end to end and cradle to grave

• Understand the problems and opportunities faced by a broad spectrum of internal customers across global markets and boil them down to define and drive implementation for a scalable, multi-tenant solution
• Build solid partnerships within the Experience Tools team, as well as with Walmart engineering teams and engineering leadership in other organizations, to align the interests of all stakeholders and deliver winning solutions
• Devise and champion a vision, strategy, and roadmap for your products to support team and company goals and objectives
• Define and document detailed product requirements, functional specifications, and visual design / UX concepts (e.g., wireframes)
• Develop feature implementation plans, working with cross-functional teams through the development and deployment lifecycle

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (computer science preferred)
• 3+ years of product management (or equivalent) experience managing technical “full stack” solutions (application UI and back-end services) through the product lifecycle
• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Technical acumen with an ability to understand engineering development problems and devise the right technical solutions
• Skilled at setting priorities and making tradeoffs for product development to meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills appropriate for a range of audiences 
• Efficiently produce clear, thoughtful documentation (requirements, functional specs, user stories, presentations, etc.) 
• Self-motivated, driven, and comfortable working independently
• Facility and productivity with the software tools of the trade (e.g., Microsoft Office, issue tracking systems, wikis/document sharing) 
• Healthy tolerance for uncertainty

Preferred Qualifications

• Enterprise-level internal tooling solutions; experience with data visualization solutions is a plus
• Understanding problems, opportunities, and perceived needs across a spectrum of customers and designing elegant solutions to satisfy them
• Roadmap responsibility across a suite of products
• Products with multiple dependencies (on other teams or projects) 
• Familiarity with large-scale distributed multi-tenant systems based on service-oriented architectures
• Startup experience and entrepreneurial spirit
• Familiarity with mobile solutions, both responsive web and native apps
• Experience managing software platform products to support global business operations
• Product development using Agile methodologies across distributed teams
