Department Overview

PG&E’s Information Technology (IT) organizationis comprised of various unified departments which collaborate effectively in order to deliver high quality technology solutions.
The Digital Catalyst Team is a new enterprise team that is responsible for working collaboratively with the lines of business(e.g., Gas Operations, Electric Operations, etc.) to implement consumer grade mobile and analytical solutions across various user groups (e.g., field users, office workers, etc.). This includes, but is not limited to:

* Deploying best-in-class / rapiddelivery capability for mobile solutions
* Simplifying, improving, and standardizing business work management processes for mobile needs
* Delivering high value analytics across all Lines of Businesses
* Rapid delivery of web applications

Digital Catalyst consists of a staff of highly skilled professionals working together to produce mobile solutions following an agile methodology and design thinking. We are a ‘start-up’ department within IT and building driven and creative mobile development team.We take the time to understand our partners’ needs and translate those into solutions that delight our users. Our goal is to deliver products with intuitive user experience that will improve PG&E employees’ and customer’s safety, productivity and overallwell-being.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Full Stack Developer in the Digital Catalyst Team to lead moderate to highly complex programming tasks and provides code reviews of various development tasks. You will implementautomated unit and integration tests and ensure the practice is followed consistently. You will participate in system design and specifications, program logic and flow-charting, development, testing, debugging, documentation, and support. Additionally, you willprovide analysis of problems and recommends solutions.

* Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in related field orequivalent work experience
* Minimum 5 years’ of related work experience
* Strong technical skills and relevant experience with Node.JS server side JavaScript
* Experience with web application development frameworks and tools like React, Express,webpack
* Experience in designing and developing web services using REST and JSON
* Experience with JS testing and code analysis frameworks like Mocha, Istanbul, JSLint, JSHint, Jasmine
* Experience with NoSQL document-based data stores like MongoDBand designing suitable data models
* Familiarity with Application UX Designs
* Unix / Linux experience
* Hands on development of applications and services

* Experience in product development
* Minimum 5 years ofexperience as Developer, full-stack
* Experience in product management

* Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues
* Modifies and configures complex and broad applications/systems as specified in the requirements and/or technical design document

* Designs and deploys new complex Enterprise systems and enhancements to existing systems ensuring compatibility and inter-operability
