CreativeLive is looking for talented senior and mid-level front-end engineers with at least three years of professional experience to join our growing technical team in our San Francisco office. You will be forging a new frontier in learning applications, leveraging and contributing to open source technology.

Frontend isn't just about writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; it's about bringing a beautiful experience to users across devices. If you care deeply about design, user experience, and beautiful code, then you might find a home here at CreativeLive.

Along with your fellow engineers, you'll be working with design and product to continuously improve the CreativeLive site and internal tools by

  • iterating on prototypes
  • architecting modules and applications
  • refactoring existing parts of the site
  • extending our content management system
  • implementing data visualization dashboards
  • connecting to (or creating) web services
  • actively contributing to refining our Agile development processes

We build services in Node.js, and leverage presentation layer frameworks such as AngularJS, so you should have a passion for clean and elegant coding in JavaScript.

What we're looking for in you:

  • A passion for beautiful user experience and design.
  • Experience writing complex applications in Javascript.
  • Excellent HTML/CSS skills and ability to write solid CSS in Less.
  • A good understanding of how to create responsive websites.
  • Familiarity with Node.js and the common frameworks and npm modules.
  • An active portfolio site and/or Github account, showcasing your own projects.
  • Ability to extract the assets you need from Photoshop files.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with Angular
  • Comfort navigating Unix and Linux
  • UI motion design
