Expedia Group’s B2B arm, Lodging Partner Services (LPS) is responsible for sourcing hotel supply that reaches travellers in more than 75 countries through all of the Expedia Group brands. The marketing function of Expedia Group LPS, Partner Marketing (PM) is looking for a Front-end Developer.
Working with the Director of Creative, Design and Development; the Front-end Developer will have had proven success creating engaging user centric web and mobile interfaces. The Creative, Design and Development group is the internal creative agency to Expedia Group LPS supporting a global organisation responsible for design, branding, messaging, advertising, content production and business presentations.
This role will focus on creating user interfaces that reflect both the business requirements and the design team’s intent by translating UI/UX specifications into global facing web and mobile interfaces. You will work with our digital design team to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs for optimization of application and maximum speed and scalability.
This is an opportunity to support a focused, multinational marketing team for the leading travel and technology company. Working in a fast-paced environment and delivering projects to tight deadlines and enjoy the variety of turning around smaller design tasks in addition to larger more complex initiatives.

  • Write clean, solid and scalable code.
  • Ensure implemented code meets standard methodologies by dev vendors.
  • Able to help implement and build prototypes for testing with standard methodologies in mind using prototype tools like Axure like Origami, Invision, UXPin, Framer, Flinto, Sketch and Figma.
  • Review designs and suggest alternatives to the user flow or experience to reduce complexity of the build.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to implement and work around them.
  • Support and collaborate with CDD team to deliver against the Partner Marketing strategy.
  • Creating innovative solutions to web design issues to help make the website more visually appealing and enhance usability.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Engaging and leading partner collaborations.

  • Excellent knowledge of Proficient understanding of web mark-up, including HTML5, PHP, CSS3
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
  • Have an understanding of design applications, Sketch and Axure, and how to translated design guidelines into code.
  • Understanding of prototyping tools such as Axure, Sketch, Framer, Invision, Origami, etc.
  • Experience in AQL (e.g. MySQL) databases.
  • Develop and test across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices, including smartphones and tablets.
  • Have experience with:
  • Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
  • WordPress or other CMS.
  • Participate in discussions with clients and team members about technical standard methodologies and help teams identify optimal technical solutions.
  • Understand Agile methodology and instil standard methodologies into the process.
  • Experience working on UX/UI projects.
  • Experience in animation, video, CSS animations and/or SVG animations for the web while not essential, would be a benefit.
  • Familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • The ability to work effectively under deadline and lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Impeccable organisational skills and the ability to think on your feet and use your initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to network and build relationships within Expedia Group.
  • Proven global operator, working with an extremely diverse range of stakeholders and audiences, including influencing and presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Positive and self-motivated personality.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years’ web development experience and app development required.
  • Strong knowledge of web development tools and programming languages.
  • Ability to travel for business when required.
  • Supply any examples of projects completed.
